how do you go about managing budget?
how do you go about defining the product strategy for products ?
how do you go about organising promotional activities to achieve performance outcomes and deliver revenue targets ?

How many times have you surfed on the internet and not found yourself to come across many ads that have popped up on the page you were on or are on? Many advertisers are profiting from what reels us in, which are these many ads you hear or see on the TV, radio, internet, etc. All in all, it’s a two-sided affair. Say you are just checking your email and you see a thousand emails. Possibly, half of those are spam from those penny-pinchers out to get you and your money. So what should you do about this? Well, you have one of two options being the check all and delete button or moving all that unnecessary junk to the spam folder where it belongs and needs to stay. Commercialism is vastly becoming a problem not a success as many assume it to be.
Studies show that 67% of teens buy items online and 37% of children do. Commercialism attacks the adolescent ages because they figure we are susceptible to any commerce that they are willing to throw at us. Also, many individuals assume this to be a more convenient way of purchasing anything and it being a faster way. That may be, but how do you know you are actually getting what you paid for? You’re wasting your precious time behind a glass screen. Purchase the more effective way, by going out into stores and getting what you need.
Many politicians use commerce for their campaigns. You know those TV ads that always contradict that you need to vote for so and so for president instead of the other guy because he did whatever? This is a way of a scam to get money out of your pockets and into their hands. These ads are the ones that are appealing to hear or see, just an easier way to pull you in.
Commercialism also costs too much money. Most of which is probably our tax dollars. The price goes up for a product if realized that it makes a certain individual sustain a cool image by using it or buying it. Many of these can be misleading, so any time you are gullible to believe one you are giving away money that could be used for something more important.
Advertising takes up a lot of one’s time. We only have one life to live right? The average American spends at least 60 minutes reading, hearing or even watching ads on the television, radio, in magazines, etc. By the time that person comes of old age, 4 years of their life will be basically deducted away from under their feet.
Some say that we are immune, too smart, and too savvy to fall for such. If so were true, we wouldn’t know so much of certain brand names, dress a certain way, buy the foods we eat, and our lives wouldn’t mirror the ads around us. In addition to that, we wouldn’t need pop-up blockers, virus protection programs, and firewalls to save us from all this commerce. So ask yourself this, are we really immune to what we see on the TV, hear on the radio, etc? If we really were, we wouldn’t feel the vanity of using these things to get a better self-image to fit in with the way society portrays us to be, which is all the same. It’s kind of a win-win situation at its best, honestly and ironically enough. On the contrary, you are helping yourself out somewhat the same way you are helping out these phony ads.
Sure ads can help us out by providing vital information to us consumers, but there is way too much that we are exposed to. Ads can hide the fact of caring for each other, the environment, and the community. Many ads give off a bad message to viewers. Such as smoking meaning you are different in a good way than everyone else, you’re only cool if you drive a pricey car, and also making us think that you have to be mature to drink. These messages can cause conflict in families because they could or can influence the way a person in that family thinks. This could cause friction because of the choices that family member made due to the advertisement. In that case, who’s to blame here? It all depends on the situation. To blame for 90% of it would be the advertisement because it provoked them to make such a decision and the other 10% being lack of poor judgment and self-esteem that was made better by the advertisement.
So for all this in mind, why do we really need commercialism anywhere? To pay the bills, to help finances, to help make it an easier, better, more convenient way to make purchases? All it does is cause problems. What does it really help? You’re not really earning anything but helping the advertiser earn your trust and money. So next time you fall for one of these, think of all the consequences that won’t cushion your fall. Whenever you see a pop-up that pops up on your screen, click the x button at the top right, whenever you see any junk email click the delete all button, whenever you hear an ad on the TV, radio, or any electronic device turn it off and read a book not a magazine, instead. You can do many things to avo

This is what a “Matthew Bush” wrote back to me after I found an ad on craigslist.com for a $1200/mo, 1550 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo:
“Thanks for your email response. The Home is still available for rent for $1200.i am in West African,Nigeria and i will reside here for some time due to my current assignment. And we are on a campaign program to West African,Nigeria .i just need someone with an open heart, love and clean to occupy the home and put all my worries off concerning the maintenance of the home, since i am not residing there for now and presently my house is still available for rent for $1200 (per Month) including the utilities like hydro, washer, electricity and security.note that you are free to go and view the house but you will not be able to see the inside.below is the address to the house…
Also the keys to the Home are right here with me, and the lease document. Which i can send to you after all necessary agreement has be accepted. Also i will like you to know that the rent charges is not really the issue ,but your absolute maintenance of my Home , because that is the only valuable property my late father left behind, and it also took him so much time and money to put all those facilities in place.,so i will solicit for your absolute maintenance of this Home and want you to treat it as your own,is that taken,it is not the money the main problem but want you to keep it tidy all the time.”
And then I asked him about why there were 2 different posts for the same condo at 2 drastically different prices. And i even called the other legitimate post and told them that there was another post for $1200 for the same condo and they said “No, it is $2500.” I was thinking, why are there 2 posts and 2 different people trying to sell the same condo…. RED FLAG UP again! and “Matthew Bush” responds:
“yeah i also posted that but i need someone to occupy my house urgently..this is why i have to reduce the rent…so dont be worry and get back to me.”
and then i sent him my rental application which is nothing more than name address, etc. no SSN, credit card #, license #, or anything important like that b/c I’m not that stupid. and he responded with:
“Good to hear back from you with the rent application.i will like you to know that i have accept you as my tenant due to the way you soumd. I am really happy you will taking care of my house.i will be sending the keys and lease to you through DHL EXPRESS as soon as you make the deposit payment through western union.so get back if you want me to send you the western union you will sending it into.
Thanks and God Bless.”
How about you stop wasting my time “Matthew Bush” (i doubt that’s his real name) and scamming people for their money! especially college students who have no money in the first place, j*ck a**!!!! I can’t believe it! I think he’s trying to scam me. What do you think? Research it online, i think you’ll agree with me!

It’s certainly illegal to spam people repeatedly, especially when it’s unsolicited and unsubscribe requests are being ignored. So, I’m sure it’s illegal for this shady campaign to use internet spam in a last ditch effort to try to get votes.
Who do I report this activity to? What commission oversees illegal campaign practices, and what authority has the right to penalize them?
Thanks!
For me, this is not about it coming from McCain. It’s about illegal campaign practices. By all means, if the Obama campaign is doing this too, please take the information in this thread and file complaints against them too. Government is shady enough as it is. We don’t need this kind of crap adding to the steaming pile…
Here is a link I got from the FBI site. This is where you go to report internet crimes.
If you have experienced this illegal campaign spam from any candidate and can provide proof of that, please file a complaint here…

From the email:
“As we speak, the same people behind the notorious ’swiftboat’ ads of 2004 are already pumping millions of dollars into deceptive television ads. Their plan is simple: torpedo healthcare reform before it sees the light of day by scaring the public and distorting the President’s approach.
“When the swiftboaters flood the airwaves with distortions, we’ll flood the streets with volunteers armed with facts.”
Really?
So how come I can’t find a copy of the legislation they’re in such a hurry to pass online? If it’s about facts, how come I can’t get the information I need to make an intelligent decision on whether I’m for or against it UNTIL AFTER it’s become law?
“Political experts agree that Obama needs to pass health care reform before the 2010 midterm elections or face disastrous losses suffered by his Democratic predecessors in the White House.”
http://johnltdo5455.wordpress.com/2009/05/07/obamas-health-care-reform-a-panacea-for-voters-in-jobless-recovery/
“The coming eight months could be the last opportunity for Democrats to pass a major health care bill. After that, the campaign season kicks off, and it will become increasingly difficult to move significant legislation.
And there is broad agreement that beyond this year, any effort to pass health care reform could get bogged down in the politics surrounding the next presidential election cycle.”

It’s not about healthcare reform people. It’s about politics and getting re-elected.
Rhoda: Yes I did sign up for his email during his campaign. I never gave him any money, now or then. Now, I’m unsubscribed to his list. Thanks for showing me the error of my ways.
