Milne Bay - a Scorched Earth Online Campaign
The European Air Force has had great fun flying Scorched Earth Campaigns. This is a movie of one campaign that my squadron, 602, along with 19 squadron, flew against our fellow Italians in 51 Stormo. The campaign is based on the actual events of the Battle of Milne Bay. I have re-created and dramatised the actual missions flown in the online version.
Historically, this was Japan’s first major defeat of the War. They failed to capture the airfield in Milne Bay and had to withdraw. Would the online battle have the same result?

I loved to play the game in best graphic mode but my PC only have:
Processador: Intel pentium IV 1.8
Graphic card ATI Radeon 9600 Pro
1 GB ram
And i play the IL2 Sturmovick complete edition
I cant find the 1946 here in portugal.
Please tell me what system you use.

The sounds are not from the game. The game sounds are really poor for movies. I had to edit in al the SFX after filming.

I used adobe After Effects motion sketcher to get the camera shake, and a mouse emulator to get the smooth circling pans.

The game engine is IL2. Fraps to capture the in-game footage. Then edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
