How to make email campaigns?
A friend of mine created a flier in photoshop and we are trying to figure out how to create an email campaign out of it. The flier has two links ~ I made it into an html file, moved it to dreamweaver, then used an image map to create the two spots on it that are links. We also created two forms the links lead to, and uploaded them via ftp onto the current company website.
I have researched many different ways but have had no success in just inserting this html into a body of an email to be sent out to people. When I finally got somewhere with Mozilla Thunderbird, the graphic did not show up.
any help would be appreciated!!!
Thank you for your advice. This is not the company I work for however. The flier is an invitation to join a luncheon to a group of suscribers so it actually isn’t “sleazy” at all…

There are a couple of issues here.
First of all, different email programs operate differently, and you have to be aware of both the email program you send with and the program that will receive it.
When you say “the graphic did not show up” — right click on the broken image icon to see where it leads. If the image is then make sure that is where it should be.
Or… right click on the (highlighted) received email, view the source code, and troubleshoot the email content from there.
Second, google “email marketing” for lots of programs used to do that sort of thing.
Third, email is a sleazy marketing technique. There are lots of marketing options that are more respectable, more likely to be successful, and won’t taint your company. If you have a subscriber list from your company then its not really too sleazy I guess.
