Is it better to apply for college online or by mail?

Would it show that you are lazy if you apply online? Or will it show that you have computer skills? Would it be better to apply by mail? What would be best for me to do?

Real mail always gets more personal attention than email.

Actually, almost all colleges will specifically state that they prefer online applications over “snail mail” a.k.a. real mail applications. It’s more reliable and gets there instantly. Plus, no cost for stamps.

It doesn’t make a difference. I work as an administrative assistant to the honors program at the college I attend. Usually we get online applications. It doesn’t matter to us. It doesn’t really say anything one way or the other. It doesn’t show laziness and it’s actually easier for the college in some ways since the information has to get put in a computer anyway. Do what’s easier for you.

It’s best to apply online. Colleges like having your application info already on a computer and it does show the computer skills. With many schools going as paperless as they can, trust me, you won’t look “lazy” by applying online. They are encouraging you to go as paperless as you can after getting admitted.
