How can I find a targeted mailing/emailing list for screenwriters?

I am interested in promoting my website and services to a very targeted niche market: screenwriters and amateurs who write screenplays. But I am having a hard time finding a mailing list or opt-in emailing list for this specific group to promote to. I have checked with some of the big mailing list companies but my niche is just that-a niche. I already promote my site through Google adwords but now want to send direct mail or email.

Does anyone have any suggestions for finding lists for such a small targeted group? Thanks.

have you seen the email about gas war?

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work

This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from
one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. It ‘ s worth
your consideration.

Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by next summer and it might go higher!!
Want gasoline prices to come down?
We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea.

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the “don’t buy gas on a certain day” campaign that was going around last
April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn’t continue to “hurt”
ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.

BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.
Please read on and join with us! By now you’re probably thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap.
Me too! It is currently $2.79 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations
have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive
action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace….. not sellers.
With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action.
The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not
purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How?

Since we all rely on our cars, we can’t just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on
gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here’s the idea:

For the rest of this year, DON’T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one),
EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices.
If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers.
It’s really simple to do! Now, don’t wimp out at this point…. keep reading and I’ll explain how simple it is to reach
millions of people.

I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us sends it to at least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) … and
those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 =3D 3,000)…and so on, by the time the message reaches the
sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers.
If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!
If it goes one level further, you guessed it…..
THREE >>>>HUNDRED MILLION >>>>PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That’s all. (If you don’t understand how we can reach 300 million and
all you have to do is send this to 10 people….
Well, let’s face it, you just aren’t a mathematician. But I am, so trust me on this one.)

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION
people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!

I’ll bet you didn’t think you and I had that much potential, did you?

Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.
I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND
KEEP THEM DOWN.

THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

I´d like to know if there was a communications/marketing campaign to support the Zero Tollerance policy in NY.

Were there any ads, commercials on TV, radio spots, billboards and so forth? Does anyone has an example or a link to send me about it?

Why do Muslim parents want to murder their children?

For the crime of becoming a Christian?

In Muslim Countries this is legal.
Here is a case of a Muslim Dad who killed two of his teenage daughters:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=favzluXtznM

Please don’t say I’m generalizing.

These are two very specific very dead teens and the girl in Florida has genuine concerns her Dad will kill her.

Here is another case of a different Dad, a different Daughter, from a different State. The similarity is that this Daughter is Dead too.

Here is another case where a 16 year old girl was killed by her Muslim Father, in a Toronto suburb.

Here is another news item about the 17 girl who fled to Orlando to escape the death threats of her Muslim Father.

I know Blake Lorenz. I have visited his church in Orlando, many times. He is the one to whom this 17 year old girl ran for protection from her Father.

Dear Billy,

Nut cases seem to the rule in the Muslim religion instead of the exception.

Obama made an offer, anyone else want to help me take him up on it?

I watched the Obama speech Nov 4th, 2008, and one thing he said is for those of us who didn’t give him our vote, give him a chance to earn your trust. I think that the pro-life community now needs to make contact with president elect Obama in a big way.

He has said that one of the first things he will do when he gets into office is sign FOCA, which would take away all restrictions on abortion. This includes parental notification laws. This includes restrictions on late term abortions that we all know all horrid, that even many abortion supporters recognize as murder. And tax payers would be forced to pay for it.

With him in the white house, the pro-choice community can feel safe that Row vs. Wade will not be overturned.

We need a massive email, letter and fax campaign to our house and senate representatives, but also to our future President Barrack Obama to say “Please do not sign FOCA. Row v. Wade cannot be overturned during your administration, but please don’t take away rights at the state level for parents to know what is happening with their minor children, and please do not make taxpayers pay for something we widely accept as murder”.

He said he wants to earn our trust. He said he wants to be our president too. We must make it clear that this is one issue, where if he signs this law, he cannot earn that trust. He cannot be our president if he’s making us pay for something we believe to be murder. The pro-life community right now is on damage control.

Please join me in this task. I don’t know who else has the type of contacts requires to make a good email campaign of it. Please pass this on to everyone you know. Forward it in email, photocopy the letter and send it out, put it on message boards and forums online. If we don’t make our voices heard then we have no right to complain when he signs the law. Please join me and write your representatives and president elect Barrack Obama.
It’s not like this letter campaign is requesting the overturn of Roe V. Wade. It’s merely asking that he doesn’t take it a step further.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0__ctD48nfQ&feature=related

Watch the video where he states it will be the first thing he’ll do.

No the president cannot do this alone, but if passed by the house and senate he has to sign it for it to become a reality. His refusal to sign could prevent it’s passing. Do your research.

He said he will not yield, but at that point he’s also putting proof to the lie that he wants to be everyone’s president, especially if a successful letter campaign is run so that there is no missing the voices of a large percentage of Americans who are NOT ok with this
lastunta… whatever your name is-

I think that people should and did speak out against the war to Bush. I think there are many people who do not consider him THEIR president. I do not think it neccesary to be patriotic. I think you SHOULD question and disagree with your leaders, and I will not be a little pushover on an issue I’m passionate about. I disagreed with the war in Iraq and I did right my representatives. I didn’t vote for McCain. I voted 3rd party because I refuse to vote the lesser of two evils.
PS- civic participation is not merely voting once every 4 years. How can your representatives represent YOU unless you contact them?
Spectator- the freedom of choice act is different from his health care plan. Read it.

It lifts the ban on partial birth abortion. It takes away parental notification laws active in 34 states (which have resulted in lower rates of abortion, teen birth AND teen STD rates)

Come on people, do any of you research things?

Video email marketing software recommendations?

I am preparing to start a video campaign - some instructional/explanatory on how to use our site, some entertaining promotional, and some pitching for other businesses to partner up…

I’m pretty proficient in creating videos, but I need a way to make them look professional to viewers, as simple as clicking a link for them to open, and be able for me to track the results. I would prefer software that automatically notifies me when the recipient watches the video, so I can follow-up immediately (i’ve heard of software that can do that).

I also wouldn’t mind if the software had video conference and live chat features.

I have a mac.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Creative Direction for Marketing Campaign?

I’m currently doing a marketing project for a coffee brand and we’re supposed to come up with a ‘creative direction’ to present to our lecturers next week.

I just want to know, especially if you’re from a professional agency, what do you define ‘creative direction’ as? I know so far that it’s kind of ‘big idea’ we want to take on the marketing campaign (correct me if I’m wrong). And how usually do you present it to your clients?

Thanks in advance for the help!
