What is the difference between a marketing campaign and a promotion?

My belief is that promotion is more broad than a marketing campaign (think the four p’s). A marketing campaign is found within promotion. I was also assuming a campaign is a strategy of speaking to a particular segment within your target. Is this the case? What if, for example, you have marketing activities you are doing specifically for Christmas. Could this be the Christmas promotion within a wider campaign?

Who agrees that there needs to be an over 18 category?

Face it there are people on Y/A that give questionable answers to ridiculous questions.

there are also users that post questions that do nothing but upset people and the poster rarely looks for a ‘real’ answer.

lets all email Yahoo and ask for an over 18 category…

give some suggestions on the name and lets get going on an email campaign.

I suggest…

Anything goes
uncensored
tell us how you really feel
its an idea…

its not a finished idea, just a ‘what if’…

instead of posting how do you keep them off, try posting a suggestion.

like age verification with a drivers license number and an additional password.

how about a disclaimer that you have to be over 18.
CheezWhiz

great concept I like it…
sorry Yoda, but the ‘real’ jedimaster got banned and this one has to ‘work and play well with others’….
arwen

i am well over 18 and yea i do give answers that make people feel bad…
stccld

take a deep breath…

now try posting that again…

Is it safe to check e-mail, or do online banking at wifi hotspots, without worrying about hackers?

So if I check my e-mail, online banking, myspace account, etc. at a wifi hot spot, is it likely that a hacker can snatch my passwords out of the air, or is that highly unlikely to happen?

And does it make a difference if it is a ssl encrypted page or non ssl page?

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT DEATH

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death! Make a personal reflection about this. Very interesting, read until the end.
It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7): “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Here are some men and women who mocked God:

1. JOHN LENNON: Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: “Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him” (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.
2. TANCREDO NEVES (President of Brazil): During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.
3. CAZUZA (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet): During a show in Canecïo ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: “God, that’s for you.” He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.
4. THE MAN WHO BUILT THE TITANIC: After the construction of the Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: “Not even God can sink it” The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.
5. MARILYN MONROE: She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: “I don’t need your Jesus”. A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
6. BON SCOTT: The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang: “Don’t stop me, I’m going down all the way, down the highway to hell”. On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.
7. CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005: In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter - holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: “MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU.”
She responded: “ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE TRUNK, CAUSE INSIDE HERE IT’S ALREADY FULL”. Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none were broken.
8. Christine Hewitt: A Jamaican Journalist and entertainer, said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written, in June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

JESUS!!!
P.S: If it was a joke, you would have sent it to everyone. So are you going to have courage to send this? I have done my part, Jesus said “If you are embarrassed about me, I will also be embarrassed about you before my father.”

“What benefit does it have, if a man gains the whole world but loses his soul? What can man give in exchange of his soul?” (Matthew 16:26).

AMEN

Is anyone having problems with email verification & Target Yahoo Photos?

I just signed up a few days ago. I’ll add that I’m a computer literate individual. I didn’t get the verify email message that you are supposed to get from Yahoo until today. However, I can’t verify my email and am sent into a loop. I can’t order my pictures (via Target/Yahoo) because each time I hit enter to send them to the shopping cart I go back to the beginning of the Yahoo photos page and the cart is empty. We deleted the Yahoo Tool bar because we have two other tool bars and it was just too much…Any thoughts?

Help me with my VP Campaign Slogan, please?

I’m running for VP for the club InterAct. Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club in my High School. The program gives us an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects (like UNICEF) while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.
We raise money for 3rd world countries, people without clean water or food, no money to start a business in a poor country, etc.

The person i’m running against was a good leader this year, but i’ve decided to run against her. Change is good. High school is all about new experiences, and what better way than to run a club you care about?
More about me…
-intensely intelligent
-immensely involved
-decidedly dedicated
-downright determined
-acutely awe-inspiring

i care (a bit too much, if anything) about helping others and making the world a better place. If we are to give speeches i’m going to share my experience about persuading the school board to add a program called Womens Ensemble (choir) because 50+ girls had nowhere to sing. Even though economy is worsening, they eventually gave in! :D if you have questions, email me (because you can’t comment/answer twice)
monnie4bff@gmail.com
put the title as InterAct VP Campaign (or something like that, so i dont think its spam or something)

i’m considering “It’s In Your Hands” and having handprints on the poster, but i want more ideas :)

Calculating monthly email marketing click rates?

I am compiling email marketing reports for a large consumer retail company with several different brands. How should I be calculating the monthly click rates for each brands email campaigns?

Should I be summing the delivered messages and unique clicks for each campaign launched that month, and then divide total messages by total clicks? OR Should I take an average of the click rates for each campaign launched?
