How can McCain compete with Obama online if he doesn’t know how to use a computer?

This just proves once again, McCain is out of touch..

When John McCain, 71, wanted Barack Obama, 46, to join him at a series of town hall meetings, he dispatched a messenger to hand-deliver the invitation. “You know, you could have just emailed this,” Obama press secretary Bill Burton told the messenger.

“It’s the difference between a horse and buggy and a NASA space ship,” said Phil Noble, a veteran of Democratic campaigns and the founder of non-partisan political news site PoliticsOnline, comparing the campaigns’ respective approaches to technology. “Obama has given people the tools to create and run their own campaigns,” Noble continued. “McCain is still a command-and-control, top-down candidate. Part of it is the difference in age.”
Edward: Obama is not afraid, but he refused to debate McCain since McCain has a history of filling his forums with pre-screened over the age of 65 supporters. Its pretty sad when you have to screen your own supporters..LOL

How will Obama face Mccain on NOVEMBER DEBATE if he’s afraid to a simple town meeting?

  2. Blackbird Says:

you’re right, mccain is out of touch. now there are some idiots who are just afraid of old people, and thats why they don’t like that he’s old, BUT there IS a legit reason for thinking he’s too old: HE IS OUT OF TOUCH!!!

McBush can’t compete with Obama in any arena.

it’s gonna be a legendary landslide victory against broken conservative government, and a move back toward prosperity and helping our fellow man.

Excuse me? He has his assistants and supporters to establish his websites and other little things like that. So is this what it has come down to, people deciding who is going to be the next president by how well they can use the computer?

    McCain 08!!!!!!!!!

  5. Irving D Says:

very true and the united states wants an educated president not a follower of Bushe’s Ideas now in days almost every thing is handled by computers so how is McCain going to lead a country if he doesn’t even know how to use a computer.

One could conversely argue why Obama feels the need to hire college kids to become internet thugs, harrassing everyone who disagrees with him. It seems to echo a rather **** mentality to me. No worries though, I think it is evident at least here in Yahoo answers that we McCain supporters will take up the fight on principles rather than needing the incentive of a paycheck.

The man doesn’t even know how to use a type writer. Stupid as a mule.

I just had to say.. to the one who asked how Obama will face McCain in a debate… oh, honey.. please.. Look at McCain’s speeches.. Painful… so painful to watch. I once thought McCain was a respectable man, one of the rare good Republicans… but, at this point? Well, I’ve been proven wrong..

anyway, his speeches compared to Obama’s? Obama has that way with words.. I mean, you know, how he actually sounds INTELLIGENT..and like he knows what he’s talking about.. as opposed to McCain…

but.. I guess I need to remember that this country DID elect George Bush, so we seem to have a thing for the stupid.

  9. Ali Says:

McCain has enough money… he can just hire somebody to do it for him!

  10. Lincoln6 Says:

If somehow McCain becomes President, his approval ratings will eventually resemble those of George Bush. He’s the wrong man at the wrong time.

  11. gool Says:

Oh Obama will blow out grandpa mccain

I want to see Obama face to face and mano-mano answering the hard questions unedited in front of the American public. This whole internet thing is such a cop out, as use of a computer doesn’t make anyone any less of who they are. Yeah, he could have sent it email but all they had to do was say it “accidentally” got deleted. ANOTHER cop-out on the democratic side because they don’t like being approached face to face and eye to eye as this shows a lack of character and originality. Yeah, I say go ahead and put Obama in office and these last eight years will not even come close to comparison of the Washington political machine running our lives.

EDIT: sarah, ANYBODY can make speeches and have a way with words, but all that shows is what the definition of a POLITICIAN is.
