I need to find an online version of the PHB for AD&D. Help?
I am trying to find a free online version of the Player’s Handbook for Dungeons and Dragons, the roleplaying game. I can not find a site that has it. Anyone know where one might be at, or could someone email me a PDF copy? PLEASE!?!?!?!?!?!? I would be ever so grateful. My daughter soaked mine and ruined it. I just can not afford to buy a new one right now and am getting ready to start a new campaign. I have everything else I need, except the PHB and a decent Monster Manual.

you can find all the information from the core rulebooks (all the important stuff anyway) in the d20 system reference document online:
.
If you want PDFs of any of the core books, I can help you out with that, just send me a message. They’re much too large to email (in the neighborhood of 50 mb for most of the core books), but I have access to an FTP server I can upload them to if you’re in desperate need.
Just don’t tell WOTC.

There are a number of sites hosting the d20 System Reference Document, but my favorite is the Hypertext d20 SRD.
It includes all of the open content published by WotC under the Open Game License. This includes the vast majority of the 3.5 Player’s Guide, Dungeon Master’s Guide, Monster Manual 1, Expanded Psionics Handbook, and Unearthed Arcana. About all it’s actually missing are the experience point tables.
Another good reference for D&D materials are Crystal Keep’s D&D index files.
These include brief descriptions of races, classes, monsters, magic items, equipment, spells, powers, and virtually everything else WotC has published for D&D. This isn’t just open content either. While brief these descriptions are easily enough to actually use and combined with the Hypertext SRD there is very little cause to buy a book, except of course for the convenience of having it at the game.
Good luck and enjoy.
