“Hamas adviser, Ahmed Yousef said in the interview: “We don’t mind — actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance.”
One of McCain’s biggest supporters is Joe Lieberman who is very pro-Israel. It’s a try for the jewish vote who are traditionally Democratic. Just politics. Obama better grow thicker skin if he is to be the nominee.
What deception? Hamas supports Barrack Hussein Obama for president of the United States.
And they just celebrated Jimmy Carter’s visit with a double car bomb attack on an outpost killing three terrorists and wounding 17 Israeli soldiers. Allah Akbar!
I saw the clip, Ahmed Yousef himself said it…He endorsed Obama, so I would say it is not deceitful at all. This is an attempt to make it seem so. Obama did say he would meet and talk with our enemies,I heard that, too. I bet Carter got his idea of talking to hammas from Obama, Carter just thought he could redeme himself..
Hamas may have noticed, for in an interview with World Net Daily and WABC-New York radio’s John Batchelor, Ahmed Yousef, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, gave Barack Obama a swooning endorsement.
“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the election,” Yousef said. “I do believe (Obama) is like John Kennedy, a great man with great principle. And he has a vision to change America, to (put) it in a position to lead the world community, but not with humiliation and arrogance.”
Why? Because they can, and because it is true. This is only a warm-up. Stay tuned for all the nasty national campaign ads starring Obama, Wright, plenty of “God Damn America” clips and repeated referrals to his comments to the rich folks in SF about small town America. This is just an appetizer.
Any reasonable person will acknowledge the fact that it’s nearly impossible to control others’ perceptions of you. Then again, your average Joe Six-Pack conservative Republican is not exactly a beacon of reason. They tried this tactic against Obama once before with Farrakhan’s endorsement. Obama obviously did not accept it nor would he, in his right mind, accept that of Hamas.
By the way, opening up a dialogue with the “enemies” of the U.S. is not appeasement nor is it even a tacit acceptance of their ideals. Of course, the typical knee-jerk reactionary wingnut prefers the “cowboy diplomacy” of “shoot first, ask questions later.” Just look how wonderfully that worked out for us in Iraq. Hah.

Hamas has endorsed Obama, as a matter of fact.

Obama is the strongest opponent to McCain and McCain is doing all he can to sway people to vote for McCain or at least not for Obama.

Obama rejects the right of return for the Palestinians, I guess someone forgot to tell Hamas that.
Seriously, Hamas will have no friends here in the US.

It is true that Hamas has endorsed Obama. I don’t think there has been any deceit.

Hamas knows a coward and will endorse one for their objectives. And they did endorse him.

Guilt by association.
