An important question concerning the Haiti relief?

Seems like President Obama is making a mistake by letting Bush help with Haiti. Remember Katrina? Wouldn’t there be a law forbidding his help?

The USS Carl Vinson is down there providing aid. The article I have attached shows they are using its reactors to make drinking water for the people. I would think such water is pumped with radiation and free radicals; it will only poison and kill them. I am pretty sure Bush came up with an idea like that.

While you’re at it, remind everyone that Bush took down the towers too.

The potable water units on ships are the only units large enough to be useful for large quantities of water, and they are NOT powered by nuclear energy.

You libs never change, you scream that the repubs should do something and when they do you scream and yell about how they aren’t doing enough or there should be a law against it.

what hypocrisy, not that I like bush, but get with the program.

    socialist pigmy

You’ll just make up all sorts of BS to try and make Republicans look bad huh?

Very sad. Actually it was very smart of Obama to start the Competition between the two parties Clinton for the Democrats and Bush for the republicans who will generate the most money for Haiti the Democrats on welfare or the the rich republicans. See my point

The same desalinization process that is making drinking water for Haitians is what our Navy men are drinking. If the liberal Messiah calls for Bush to help that should be good enough for anyone.

  8. Steve D Says:

The article says nothing about using the reactors to make drinking water. It says that the ship has twin reactors (which are used to power the ship) and a desalinization plant on board. Nowhere does it link the two. Bush’s man at FEMA may have messed up the response to Katrina, but you are really pushing the limits of common sense by suggesting that there is a law forbidding his help.

I’ve worked nuclear and the two waters are completely separate closed systems. Besides they are just running electrical equipment off the power of the nuclear plant, not actually running the water through the reactor..

You do know that nuclear power is really not that bad, right? As I have said somewhere before (and I shudder to give them credit again), 70% of France’s energy comes from nuclear power plants and they are doing perfectly fine. Except for the being in Europe thing.

I am also pretty sure Obama sent the aircraft carrier before he asked Bush for help.
