*Serious* what are we answering questions for?
Yahoo! is a big company, as such its only drive is to make money. I don’t believe that they would make a service like this unless it was doing something for them. Are they compiling profiles on us? is every answer we give slowly categorizing us? what are they going to do when they have enough data to pinpoint who we are and what we know? what does this mean for us?
Yahoo! already have a prosess called behavioral targeting where they indevidualy advertise things to us depending on what we like. Is answers an extention of this?

Probably.
Maybe they are trying to get us all addicted and then when we are then they will start charging us to answer and ask questions! By then it will be too late.

You sound a bit parinoid! I answer questions when its 4:30 a.m. and I can’t sleep. Bores me enough eventually.

It could be.
It could also be that Yahoo! has nothign to do with it, since our question history and stuff are all publicly available.

I just like asking nonsensical questions and see what kind of answers pop up.
