Just hours after Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) told Vermont Public Radio that there was “no way” Clinton could win enough delegates to claim the nomination and, therefore, “she ought to withdraw and she ought to be backing Senator Obama,” an e-mail entitled “The Pattern” arrived in The Fix’s inbox.
Have you noticed the pattern?” Clinton asks in the message, adding: “Every time our campaign demonstrates its strength and resilience, people start to suggest we should end our pursuit of the Democratic nomination.
“Those anxious to force us to the sidelines aren’t doing it because they think we’re going to lose the upcoming primaries. The fact is, they’re reading the same polls we are, and they know we are in a position to win.”
The e-mail asks for a donation to Clinton’s campaign before March 31 — the close of the first fundraising quarter of the year.

First, you think Sarah should have killed her baby because it has Down’s Syndrome. Then Joe Biden calls for a guy in wheelchair to “stand up”, now Obama’s campaign is digging McCain for not using email, despite the fact he can’t use a keyboard, due to disabilities arising from his torture in Vietnam…..
What ever happened to you guys being the ones who care?

I just received an email from Obama’s campaign that you can find people in your area hosting watch parties for the debate (Oct 15). I think that would be really fun..anyone else going?

“John McCain suspends campaigning to work on economy, requests postponing Friday debate; asks Obama do the same.”

Obama’s campaign has put out an ad portraying McCain as out of touch due to his inability to use a computer or send an email. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ2I0t_Twk0
For those that don’t know the history, McCain said he can’t operate a computer or send emails in reference to his arms. It is physically painful for him to work at a computer because of the damage done to his arms by the N. Vietnamese.
“McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.”

How do you think Democrats would react to a Republican running for governor of New York putting out an ad that said the current governor couldn’t see the writing on the wall? (David Paterson is legally blind, for those that don’t know.)
#1 - I happen to be a member of the Constitutional Party, btw. But there’s nothing about my party in the news of interest.
#2 - LMBO - All you that think it’s great to attack McCain over computers - did you know that neither Bill or Hillary Clinton like to use computers either? They’re both very slow typers. Also, Pres. Reagan never used a PC, he always wrote everything by hand, and other world leaders appreciated it because it was more personal.
To the comment about the Bush administration causing the current crisis on Wall Street.
Actually, according the CNN Money comentary on cable yesterday, the current crisis is being caused by the mortgage industry, which is currently in it’s downfall due to easing of mortgage lending rules during the Clinton administration.
Before people start accusing an administration of causing an economic downturn, they really should take Econ 101 and study a bit of the legislation in this country that directly impacts the economy, and how long it takes such legislation’s full impact to be felt in an economy this large.

Campaign email: (excerpt)
The McCain campaign is trying to distract voters from the real issues — so we’re going to focus on what they’re trying to hide.
They’ve come out against the life-saving possibilities of stem cell research.
They don’t even mention protecting equal pay for equal work.
They support huge tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans.
They’ve almost completely ignored the $10 billion we’re spending every month in Iraq.
And they make zero exceptions for a woman’s right to choose — even in cases of rape, incest, or to protect the life of the mother.
If that all sounds like more of the same, that’s because it is. John McCain is offering a third term of the disastrous Bush agenda, so it’s no wonder his campaign would choose to focus on attacks instead of issues.

I know we’ve asked a lot from supporters like you recently, and many of you contributed just last week.
But the stakes are high, and there are less than 9 weeks before Election Day. It’s going to require unprecedented resources to defeat John McCain and bring about the change America so desperately needs.
Thank you for all you do,
David

Nowhere does he mention where Obama will do a better job. I thought the liberals took the high road.

every November until they DO obey our will?
1) Legislation for taxpayer-only funded campaigns (will cure the rest because Congress will be beholden to us and not to big business, which gets trillions of our tax dollars (plus evil legislation) unfairly now in ‘payment’ for campaign contributions).
2) A new social security card, our national id card, the most tamper-proof that high technology can provide. No work or any benefits for those who do not have a card…MILLIONS WILL FLEE FREE!!
3) Enforce our laws. If that causes riots, then where do I and tens of millions of other patriots sign up to quell the violence, since President Bush has moved our ‘National’ Guard over to Iraq.

10-T3: You want to know which group of millions will flee?
Visit your local welfare office…just sit in the waiting room and observe. It is the same group in every welfare office. The millions that taxpayers feed; pay medical benefits for; pay expensive transporation to medical appointments for—because they are getting extremely low wages and no benefits from employers.
Jake: No wonder you have 6% best answer…you’re not too bright.

Forgive me if I’m using the wrong terminology, I don’t know much about politics. Michelle Obama sent out an email asking for more money. The campaign is over…what is this fundraiser for? There were no specifics, the email just talked about inauguration.
Thanks in advance.

I just went on Obama’s website. I made a contibution of $15 using a credit card. I entered my name as “Obamaisa Liar” my address as “wheredoesthemoneycomefrom” and my email as “guess@who.net
The site did not ask for the card’s cvv number
and when I pressed enter it said:
Thanks For The Contirbution
———————————————————————————————
I did this to demonstrate that it is possible to send money to Obama’s campaign using phony information.
His site does not even confirm the card holders name!
———————————————————————————-
There is evidence that the many small contributions in uneven amounts like $143.27 result from foreign contributions adjusted by currency exchange.
The Federal Election Commision ordered Obama’s campaign to return $33 thousand dollars from the Gaza Strip sent to his Obama store for t-shirts.
Has Obama set up his site to permit foreigners and their governments to contribute to his campaign?
If this is not happening then explain why so many of Obama’s contributions are in odd numbers.
The vast majority of ligitimate contributions would be for an even amount. $10 $15 $25 $50 $100 $200
Who gives an amount like $152.47
it is obviously a foreign contribution with currency exchange
Hey Doc Watson and anyone else who deosn’t believe me.. try it for yourself!
